Lawrence is responsible for the strategic planning, overall management, and business development
of MoolahSense. More than 12 years in the field, Lawrence had worked extensively in the
financial services sector, acquiring a combination of front-to-back, buy- and sell-side
experiences, particularly in the area of Fixed Income.
Lawrence spent the 1st half of his professional life in Wealth Management, with his last role heading an award-winning investment product team at Standard Chartered Bank. Before founding MoolahSense, Lawrence was a Vice President at Macquarie Capital where he was closely involved in developing its sales and structuring business at the Fixed Income division.
Lawrence first graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from the National University of Singapore in 2002. He then completed his Masters of Financial Engineering from the same university in 2010. Lawrence also holds the designations of Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
Teng Theng Dar (Non-Executive Chairman)
As the Chairman of the Board, Mr Teng guides the management in the formulation and execution of strategic direction.
Mr Teng is an eminent and highly respected business leader in the Asian and Singapore business communities, particularly as an active champion in promoting SME growth and financing.
He was the CEO from Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the apex business chamber of Singapore from 2008 to 2011. During his tenure, Mr Teng helped to raise SBF's profile in Singapore and developed its global business activities. His illustrious career includes being the CEO of two SGX mainboard listed companies: Intraco Limited and ABR Holdings Limited, which is one of the largest F&B services company in Singapore. Amongst his past international appointments include Chairman of APEC Business Advisory Council, Chairman of Singapore-Middle East Business Group and Co-Chair of Guangdong Singapore Business & Economic Council.
Mr Teng has been serving as Singapore's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman since 2008. He graduated from the School of Commerce, Waseda University, Japan in March 1979.
Prahlad Shantigram (Non-Executive Director)
Mr Shantigram brings to the board a wealth of leadership experience and global network in international finance, and advises the management on regional expansion.
He was a senior banker who has over 20 years of international experience in building and managing businesses, executing corporate acquisitions and structuring complex financings. His most recent position was the Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Group at Standard Chartered Bank, where he founded the bank's India Corporate Advisory Group and pioneered the strategy of backing Indian corporations in making cross border acquisitions.
Mr Shantigram now acts as an independent advisor to corporations and is an active investor in the FinTech space. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, Mumbai and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Chung Wei Tuck (Non-Executive Director)
Wei Tuck offers valuable insights to the board with his 13 years of experience in the financial services industry working mainly in Wealth Management.
He has been appointed to Vice President Advisory at Barclays Wealth, advising high net worth clients on a range of investments and also has experience as an execution dealer specializing in fixed income. Wei Tuck has also held management positions at Julius Baer Group Ltd and credit analyst roles at DP Information Group (Experian).
